What do children do in the school playground? They play tug-of-war, hopscotch, swing… In the schoolyard, moreover, the children explain their things and hide their secrets. Their jokes and cabals, surrounded by a delicious selection of traditional Catalan songs, offer us a musical, poetic and visual spectacle.

In Nens, al pati! – Children, to the playground! we brought the school playground to the stage. For children, this is a space full of connotations: recreation, freedom, fun, but also a first relationship framework where they experience companionship, rivalry, the collective fact and at the same time their own individuality. The school playground is an everyday and fascinating place, sometimes fantastic and sometimes terrible, but always an agora for the little ones who learn to socialise away from the shadow of the adult.

The show is full of the usual schoolyard references. The characters explain things in a naïve and amusing tone, with the aim of turning the child/viewer into an observer of his or her own reality.

In any case, as usual in Samfaina de Colors, all of this is intended to be a background setting, close and familiar, in which to place a traditional music concert.
